Peter Faulhaber is president of FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A., Inc., a world leader of innovative data protection products and solutions that enable organizations to cost effectively manage exponential data growth. As president, he is responsible for overseeing the strategy, manufacturing, sales and marketing for Fujifilm, including the development and implementation of a competitive and profitable strategy for both North and South America regions. Peter joined Fujifilm in 2004 as Vice President, Business Development and OEM Sales, where he oversaw sales to all major OEM partners and was later promoted to Senior Vice President.
Peter has more than 19 years of experience in the data storage industry. Before joining Fujifilm, Peter was the Group Vice President for EMTEC Magnetic, GmbH in Germany where he was responsible for the worldwide professional business of all optical and magnetic data storage products. Prior to that, Peter worked as the Controller for BASF, Germany.
His has also been active in several industry trade associations including: Active Archive Alliance, where he is a board member; AFCOM; the Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA); the Linear Tape-Open Consortium (LTO); the European Data Media Manufacturing Association (EMA); and the Tape Council.
Faulhaber received a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Kaiserslautern in Kaiserslautern, Germany and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Saarland in Saarbrücken, Germany.
Chris Powers is the Senior Director of Development responsible for HP Storage StoreEver Solutions. In this role he has worldwide development and line of business responsibility for all of HP's tape solutions, tape media and library products. These include the industry-leading families of LTO and DDS tape drives which HP designs and manufactures.
Chris has more than 20 years experience in the data storage industry serving in a variety of operational and development leadership roles within HP. Chris's experience has spanned across a broad range of products including disk and tape drives, high end disk array, tape automation and library products. Chris has extensive experience in successfully developing and managing complex development and operational partnerships across the value chain.
Chris holds several technical undergraduate degrees in technology and business and has an MBA from the University of Arizona.
Matt Starr's tenure with Spectra Logic spans 22 years and includes experience in service, hardware design, software development, operating systems, electronic design and management. As CTO, he is responsible for the company’s engineering department, manufacturing operations and planning division.
Matt served as the lead engineering architect for the design and production of Spectra’s T-series tape library family. Spectra Logic has secured 36 tape library patents under Matt’s direction, establishing the company as the innovative technology leader in the data storage industry.
He holds a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
With 15 years of experience working in the HPC, Media and Entertainment, and Enterprise IT industries running global marketing programs, Molly Rector serves as DDN’s Chief Marketing Officer responsible for product management and worldwide marketing. Rector’s role includes providing customer and market input into the company’s product roadmap, raising the Corporate brand visibility outside traditional markets, expanding the partner ecosystem and driving the end-to-end customer experience from definition to delivery. Rector is a founding member and currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Active Archive Alliance. She is also the Storage Networking Industry Association’s (SNIA) Vice Chairman of the Board and the Analytics and Big Data committee Vice Chairman. Prior to joining DDN, Rector was responsible for product management and worldwide marketing as CMO at Spectra Logic. During her tenure at Spectra Logic, the company grew revenues consistently by double digits year-over-year, while also maintaining profitability. Rector holds certifications as CommVault Certified System Administrator; Veritas Certified Data Protection Administrator; and Oracle Certified Enterprise DBA: Backup and Recovery. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology and chemistry.
