Floyd Christofferson, SGI
Floyd Christofferson

Floyd Christofferson is the director of storage product marketing at SGI. As a professional focused on content management and storage workflows over the last 25 years, Floyd has paid particular attention to the technology associated with effective management of massive volumes of data, both from the perspective of hardware strategies and of workflow.

At SGI, Floyd works closely with the core storage hardware and software engineering teams to leverage SGI's rich legacy of innovation in addressing the world's largest data management problems. This is increasingly focused on providing modular, scalable solutions to help SGI's customers effectively manage the exponential growth of data in technical computing, Cloud and Internet, and persistent data environments.

Prior to joining SGI, Floyd's work was focused in the broadcast industry, where he was focused on file-based content management and distribution strategies.

Peter Faulhaber, FUJIFILM
Peter Faulhaber

Peter Faulhaber is the Senior Vice President for FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A. Inc., the leading manufacturer of commercial data tape products for enterprise and midrange backup applications. Peter is responsible for all aspects of FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A. sales and marketing policies, objectives and initiatives, including the development and implementation of a competitive and profitable strategy for both North and South America regions. Peter joined Fujifilm in 2004 as Vice President, Business Development and OEM Sales, where he oversaw sales to all major OEM partners of magnetic products. 

Peter has more than 15 years of experience in the data storage industry. Before joining Fujifilm, Peter was the Group Vice President for EMTEC Magnetic, GmbH in Germany where he was responsible for the worldwide professional business of all optical and magnetic data storage products. Prior to that, Peter worked as the Controller for BASF, Germany.

Peter has been active in several industry trade associations including AFCOM, the Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA), the Linear Tape-Open Consortium (LTO), the European Data Media Manufacturing Association (EMA) and the Tape Council.

Peter holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, and an MBA from the University of Saarland, Germany. Peter lives in Tarrytown, NY with his wife and two children.

Bruce Kornfeld, Dell
Bruce Kornfeld

Bruce Kornfeld is Executive Director of Business Development and Alliances at Dell. In this role, Bruce is responsible for building technology partnerships and finding opportunities for corporate growth in new markets. 

Bruce has more than 20 years storage industry experience in marketing, product management and engineering. He joined Compellent in 2006 as vice president of marketing and alliances, overseeing all marketing and communications functions over a four-year span in which the company went public and grew revenues from $9.9 to $125 million.

Previously, Bruce served in various positions at Dell, including director of worldwide marketing for Dell server and storage enterprise products.  He was also part of the team that completed the planning and launch of Dell's storage business and grew revenues to more than $2 billion.

Before joining Dell in 1997, Bruce held operations, engineering and marketing positions at NCR, where he secured a patent for building mainframe computer processor and memory chips. Bruce earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and master's degrees in business administration and engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Molly Rector, Spectra Logic
Molly Rector

Molly Rector joined Spectra Logic in 2004 and brings more than a decade of storage industry experience to her current role as vice president of product management and worldwide marketing. In this position, Rector leads a department of channel and market development, creative and marketing communications, public relations and product management professionals.

A key member of the executive leadership team since 2005, she helps define and execute Spectra's future product roadmap and overall corporate direction. In 2010, Rector's vision led to the formation of the Active Archive Alliance, a non-profit storage industry association, on which she represents one of seven vendor organizations and serves as the chairman of the board.

Rector holds certifications as CommVault Certified System Administrator; Veritas Certified Data Protection Administrator; and Oracle Certified Enterprise DBA: Backup and Recovery. She earned a bachelor's of science degree in biology and chemistry.

Gary Szukalski, FileTek
Gary Szukalski

As President and Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Szukalski is responsible for FileTek's day-to-day operations. More importantly, he is the chief evangelist of FileTek's outbound message and vision.

He has over 25 years of experience in the computer industry, including executive management positions in sales, marketing, and development. Mr. Szukalski rejoined FileTek in January 2009 after a 9-year absence.

From 2006-2009, he held a senior management role as Vice President of Field Marketing at Autonomy Corporation - a leader in pan-enterprise search and meaning-based computing. Having joined Autonomy after their successful acquisition of his former employer Verity, Gary designed and developed creative marketing campaigns and direct sales and support efforts for sales enablement, event execution and lead generation.

Prior to the acquisition of Verity by Autonomy, he contributed for six years as Vice President of Demand and Field Marketing for Verity - also a recognized leader in enterprise search software.

During his initial work at FileTek through September 2000, Mr. Szukalski held numerous positions of increasing management responsibility, the last being Vice President of North American Sales Operations where he had overall responsibility for revenue generation and customer engagement.

His professional experience prior to FileTek focused on engineering and technology management where he worked for EDS and General Electric Information Systems as a systems programmer. Mr. Szukalski holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Shippensburg University.

Dave Thomson, QStar Technologies
Dave Thompson

Dave Thomson has over 20 years experience in the archive storage industry and currently serves as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing for QStar Technologies; a leader in archiving and data management software. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dave leads a global team of dedicated archive professionals and fosters industry partnerships at all levels.

Dave is a tireless educator on methodologies which encourage the adoption of archiving best practices, such as the 3-2-1 Archiving and Data Protection Best Practice:  http://www.qstar.com/vision/321bestpractice He is also a board member of the Active Archive Alliance, which QStar is a founding member.

Prior to joining QStar, Dave was based in England with Plasmon PLC, an optical drive, media and library manufacturer, for 14 years. As European Director of Sales, he was responsible for the strategic direction and revenue growth of Plasmon's European business, which included managing teams in four countries.

Dave received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Dundee.
